An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Housing Options team for a Housing Options Assistant. The main purpose of the role is to provide support to Lancaster City Council's housing options team which provides a homeless and housing advice service to vulnerable residents throughout the Lancaster district. The team's aim is to assist residents to remain in their accommodation, prevent homelessness and provide accommodation to those the local housing authority owes a rehousing duty if homelessness cannot be prevented. Applications are sought from persons having relevant experience. We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and motivated person with a 'can do' attitude who responds well to working under pressure in a small team environment. We require someone who can demonstrate a real commitment to providing excellent customer care and a top quality service to members of the public. You will be a member of a busy team and be responsible for a full range of administrative duties. You should be a proficient IT user. This post is 37 hours per week, working Monday to Friday 9-5 and will be based at Lancaster Town Hall.

This post is a permanent position.
