Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Herefordshire Council's Housing Solutions Team, you will be the first point of contact for customers facing homelessness. An empathetic nature with a general understanding of homelessness law, in particular the Housing Act 1996 and Homeless Persons Act 2002, The Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, The Localism Act 2011, Working as part of a multi-functional team, the role will be to provide a homeless triage service via the Housing Solutions duty desk by providing free, impartial, homelessness and housing advice services to members of the public and professionals. Monitoring and administration of the bespoke housing system and maintaining processes that ensure all housekeeping and digital records are kept up to date.
About You

- Ideally, you will have an understanding of the housing need in Herefordshire however, training will be provided for this role.
- Have a flexible approach to working where priorities can change and challenges must be met, while maintaining the high standards set by the Housing Solutions team.
- Ensure that Housing Solutions continuously improve services for internal and external clients along with promoting a positive image through the development of Main Purpose of Job:
