Housing Supply Officer

Tower Hamlets Council is looking for a passionate and collaborative housing professional to join the Housing Supply Team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will help advance a range of projects aimed at increasing the supply of new housing in the borough.
The Council has set an ambitious target of delivering 1,000 affordable homes per year for rent. The Housing Supply team plays a vital role in achieving this through the development of Council-owned sites, the regeneration of our estates, and the facilitation of partnerships with Housing Associations and developers.
We are looking for enthusiastic and aspiring professionals, with relevant experience in housing regeneration from conception to handover. You will take a lead as the Council's Housing Client in liaison with the Capital Delivery Team and have proven ability and experience in the following areas: site identification and assembly; engaging residents; planning applications; procuring and managing technical consultants, housing design and construction; financial appraisal and viability; building regulations and sustainability.
In addition, you will have knowledge of: preparing bids for funding, writing briefing papers, governance processes, budget monitoring, liaison with key stakeholders and funders, delivery teams and developers.

+ Monitor project progress and report on outcomes to ensure targets are met.
