Full Job Description

We have a great opportunity to join our Housing 360 team in the role of Housing Support Officer. This is an exciting time to join the team as you'll be helping to shape the team's processes by looking at the way we work in a new light. During your working day you'll be visiting multiple properties, including houses and flats, within your geographical area, completing annual fire door checks. The role of Housing Support Officer will include:

  • Completing property inspections
  • Completing health and safety compliance checks
  • Updating resident information forms
  • Regular contact with customers within their properties or while in the community, escalating any concerns to the local Housing team
  • Extensive travel throughout the geographical area covered, Sanctuary Group encourages and welcomes applications from people from diverse backgrounds to support our commitment to offering an inclusive environment for our employees and customers.
  • We work closely with the Home Office in order to prevent illegal working. A basic Disclosure and Barring Service check will be necessary in the event of a successful application which we will pay for. Sanctuary Housing Services Limited is a subsidiary of Sanctuary Housing Association, an exempt charity.

  • Previous experience within either customer service or property inspection.
  • Knowledge of compliance and health and safety
  • Great organisation skills and ability to manage and prioritise your own diary
  • Clear communication skills
  • Ability to complete tasks within set deadlines
  • Competent using mobile technology to complete worksheets
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

  • £13,061 per annum (rising to £13,748 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
  • The full time equivalent salary for this role is £26,122 based on 37.5 hours per week rising to £27,497 after 12 months service and subject to satisfactory performance
