This position is advertised at 37 hours per week., Homes Charges & Utilities -
To be accountable for ensuring their team adhere and conform with all agreed DIO TLB processes and operating procedures, and particularly those which are detailed under the key infrastructure process for: management of account receivables, payment of miscellaneous invoices, contact houses, DIO RD Accommodation cash account, rental and rechargeable repair charges for irregular occupants, international personnel and civilians. Responsible for facilitating the receipt, investigation and payment of DIO RD Accommodation Utility Bills for Void Service Families Accommodation (SFA)
Being a Focal point for DIO for Debt recovery, working closely with internal DIO teams such as Loss of Entitlement (LOE) and DIO finance, along with Defence Business Services to facilitate optimum recovery or outstanding charges.
Line management of 1 EO grade, Countersigning officer of 5 AO Grades
Person specification
+ Promote strong working relationships, both within the team and
with other teams across DIO, Industry Partners and wider
+ Perform LM/CSO activities, as appropriate.
+ Ensure that all Homes Charges Team processes are carried out in
accordance with best business complying with Treasury and
Departmental practices and laid down time scales.
+ Responsible for ensuring the DIO Accn Control Account is
managed in accordance with MoD policy Provide debt
management statistical information and meaningful FOO
submissions for in year utility spend to budget manager.
+ Monitoring and management of debt and debt recovery action.
Management of legacy debt; Ensuring robust processes are put in place to manage internal Debt, collaboratively working closely with the LOE to provide efficient case management.
+ Building strong working customer relations with DBS ensuring swift action is taken to aid optimum recovery.
+ Dealing with Write offs, FORs and Disputes of Charges and Debt.
+ Ensure that all utility bills are processed within departmental practices and laid down time scales managing resources effectively to achieve these. Liaise with utility companies to provide VFM.
+ Liaising and building strong working relationships with both DIO Commercial and Finance, to ensure DIO are adhering to governance. Ensuring viable payment solutions are in place.

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments.
