Full Job Description

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and committed Lecturer in counselling to join the team. The role involves primarily teaching on HE Counselling courses, all members of the Team are responsible for teaching across a range of modules, for the professional development of students, supporting students on fieldwork practice, course administration, consultancy, research and the development of new modules and courses. The role will involve some teaching on FE courses.,

  • To teach and assess learning on a range of courses, which include 14-19 and adult learners. Courses range from entry level to level 6
  • To work effectively as a member of the team, liaising with the Senior Curriculum Manager in Teacher Education, HE and Counselling and all colleagues in the
  • To take an active role in your own professional development in relation to all aspects of the role.

    The successful candidate will need to demonstrate experience in delivering high quality teaching, learning and assessment to counselling students on degree level programmes.
  • A commitment to student (and self) development and achievement is essential. Our experienced team are looking for a lecturer to motivate students, celebrate success and/or reward targeted groups. Therefore, candidates must be passionate about working with and inspiring our students.
  • With excellent communication and organisational skills, the candidate must be able to deliver effectively and engage students in their learning.
