Grade: Operations Pay Scale Grade E Point 9 - 15 Salary: £14,916.13 - £16,314.10 pro rata gross per annum Hours: 24 hours per week, Term Time Only Are you passionate about supporting a dynamic team and fostering a positive work environment? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced, educational setting? The Kingston Educational Trust is seeking a highly organised and proactive HR Assistant to join our team. Key Responsibilities: As the HR Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of our HR department. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting with the recruitment process, including posting job vacancies, shortlisting candidates, scheduling interviews, and maintaining candidate records.
  • Maintaining and updating employee records, ensuring all documentation is accurate and in line with compliance standards.
  • Supporting the onboarding process for new staff, including induction coordination, document collection, and system setup.
  • Assisting with employee queries related to HR policies, payroll, and benefits.
  • Helping to coordinate staff training and professional development programs.
  • Assisting with the administration of staff attendance, leave requests, and absence tracking.
  • Contributing to HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and wellbeing.
  • General administrative duties such as filing, responding to emails, and maintaining HR databases.
  • We are looking for a motivated individual with:
  • Experience in an HR role (preferably within an educational setting but not essential).
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in ICT.
