Full Job Description

Working closely with the HR Change and M&A team, the HR Business Partners, and the HR Services team to provide proactive and commercial HR advice and guidance to assist in the delivery of HR change solutions and key objectives in the context of the people agenda. Working in partnership with the business the HR Adviser will combine an understanding of the organisation and its context with HR expertise, in order to support the delivery of merger and acquisition programmes/TUPE and change activity, to meet organisational needs, now and in the future.,

  • Establish and develop trusted relationships across the business at a variety of levels through collaboration and gaining credibility

  • Provide support to the HR Business Partners to deliver change projects, e.g. restructuring, M&A activities etc.

  • Support the HR Business Partners through the lifecycle of mergers and acquisition activity from due diligence through to transaction completion and full employment integration into the business

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices

  • Maintain knowledge of current case law, identify implications to our current practices and make proposals for improvement where relevant

  • Provide HR advice and guidance to stakeholders

  • Support the production of M&A/TUPE documentation

  • Provide general administrative support to the HR Business Partners

  • Work with the Learning & Development team for business training needs within incoming M&A/TUPE businesses

  • Support the Reward Director and Reward team with M&A/TUPE reward matters including the annual salary review and bonus eligibility

  • Compile and analyse HR Management Information, interpret results to identity trends and present data to senior management

  • Provide support to the wider HR Team as required

  • Provide support to the HR Services team as required

    Up-to-date knowledge of HR best practice, UK employment law and current thinking and developments in HR

  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities & deliver to deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills

  • Ability to deal with sensitive data and confidential information

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to multi-task and work independently


  • Professional Qualifications and Education
  • CIPD L3 or L5, or equivalent relevant professional qualification
