Reporting to the Divisional HR Business Partner to support the delivery the People element of the Mission in Motion ('The Plan') through upgrading leadership capability of nursery management and teams and developing robust policies and practices to build a strong people centric culture at Bright Horizons. Develop a positive working environment promoting the core values of the organisation - HEART principles and Keeping Everyone Safe, supporting the delivery of excellent business results.,
- First point of contact for all employee relations queries, ensuring prompt and effective resolution or allocation to the relevant HR area of expertise
- Providing detailed advice and coaching to managers on effective handling of employee relations including performance improvement plans, investigations, disciplinaries, performance management and grievance policies and processes.
- Supporting HR Consultants with high volume employee relations case management
- Use HR KPI data to focus attention on priority issues within settings
- Supporting on the delivery of HR related training and coaching initiatives, which drive a high performance culture, including; complex investigations, grievances, disciplinaries, performance improvement, and health and wellbeing.
- Gather evidence to support with Disciplinary and Grievance hearings.
- HR administration including the production of reports, contracts and references RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Support with training and coaching Operations teams in ensuring high quality implementation of policies and procedures
- Providing advice and guidance to managers and employees in line with policies procedures and legislation
- Supporting the HR Business Partner to deliver against objectives and KPIs in the People Plans
- Take responsibility for own personal and professional development and keep current on legislative changes
- Track and close all cases in line with agreed Service Level Agreements
- Identify trends and suggest process improvements and or additional training and coaching required in Operational areas within the division.
Experience managing a high volume and complex employee relations caseload - Excellent coaching skills, especially around people management processes including; investigations, grievances, disciplinaries, performance improvement, and health and wellbeing
- Excellent customer service skills
- Commercial awareness and ability to translate policy into sound advice to keep the business safe and compliant
- Multi-site experience
- Knowledge of employment legislation, EU directives and regulatory requirements
- Have insight to industry (social, technical and economical), Business Coaching Qualification
- HR advisory role in nursery sector
- Significant experience of diverse employee relations cases, Qualification in HR - CIPD (evidence of CPD)
- Broad academic education
