MapS are entering an exciting phase as they transform their HR function. While continuing to provide core services like HR expertise, pay and reward, resourcing, wellbeing, engagement, learning and development, performance management, EDI support, and employee relations, they are shifting their strategic approach.
MaPS aims to be more holistic and responsive, modernising their services to meet business needs. By adopting Agile HR methodologies, they will offer proactive strategic input to ExCo directors and enhance service responsiveness, enabling more self-serve HR for managers and colleagues.
MaPS are seeking a dynamic HR Advisor to join their team, playing a key role in advising line managers and colleagues on HR queries and employee relations., The HR Advisor will report directly to the HR Manager . In this role you will be responsible for the following;
+ Provide advice and guidance on a range of employment queries and casework, ensuring statutory compliance and presenting options and recommendations.
+ Coach managers to improve their competence and confidence in managing people-related cases, ensuring cases are resolved within agreed timescales.
+ Collaborate with HR colleagues to produce and monitor casework metrics and key performance indicators, providing reports as required.
+ Maintain accurate records and minutes of formal meetings.
+ Offer proactive advice to management on employee relations, performance management, and recruitment support.
+ Continually develop knowledge and skills in HR best practices, market trends, and employment legislation.

+ Proven track record of developing people initiatives and advising line managers.
+ Working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records.
+ Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
+ Trusted advisor with experience in advising managers on HR/people matters.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, including Word and Excel., Successful candidates must undergo a criminal record check.
People working with government assets must complete baseline personnel security standard (opens in new window) checks.
