Full Job Description
This is a great role that plays a vital part in supporting a high-growth, fast paced business! We are looking for a highly organised, enthusiastic and motivated individual to deliver an effective people service to the business, ensuring we inspire our colleagues to 'stay and grow with us'. The role is based in Manchester at our offices in the Northern Quarter, with the opportunity to work a few days from home once fully established in role and according to business needs.,
- Employee Relations: In close partnership with the ER Manager, take responsibility for the effective management of your caseload, ensuring a fair, consistent and robust approach to employee relations issues. You will guide our managers and leaders to become more self-sufficient, without compromising legal compliance.
- Coaching, guide and advise: To act as a point of contact for managers, employees and other people team members to coach, guide and support them with People queries.
- HR System: Act as the 'super user' and expert for People/ HR system, ensuring that all stored data is accurate and up-to-date, and held in compliance with GDPR principles.
- Policy, process and procedure: Work with the People Manager to ensure continuous improvement of existing people policies and processes - to develop, streamline and maintain processes; to challenge the status quo and drive improvement across the organisation.
- HR Projects: Support the People Manager with core People projects and processes such as wellbeing initiatives, employee engagement, reward and recognition and DE&I.
- Data, Reporting and Insights: Produce reports and insights that help us use data to drive efficiencies in how people and processes are managed throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Experience of working in a People team within a complex organisation
- End-to-end Case Management experience in core ER areas: Disciplinary, Grievance, Absence and Performance
- Excellent knowledge in employment law, HR policy and best practice
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point, standard company IT systems
- Knowledge and understanding of HR systems and their importance in delivering accurate, reliable data to the business
- A strong and articulate communicator, with excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Passionate for continuous improvement, with demonstrable experience.
- Good influencing skills and the ability to 'manage upwards' are required to ensure that processes are adhered to, appropriate actions are taken and deadlines met.
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and independently with strong attention to detail.. Desirable:
- Experience of TUPE transfers
- Degree educated and/or CIPD accredited
