Full Job Description

Walsall Council is looking for an experienced HR Advisor/Administrator to support the HR Manager (Policy, Pay and Reward) and Senior HR Advisors in the development and administration of HR policies, procedures, and job evaluation schemes. This is a key role in supporting strategic HR initiatives aligned with the Council's Workforce and Organisational Development (OD) strategies.,

  • Assist with the development and updating of HR policies reflecting the Council's values and workforce strategies.
  • Manage the HR Job Evaluation inbox and support the administration of NJC job evaluation and HAY grading schemes.
  • Support data gathering for key reporting, including pay gap reporting and compliance with the Local Government Transparency Code.
  • Provide advice and support on HR matters, ensuring excellent customer service and inclusion-focused solutions.
  • Conduct market pay research and assist in benchmarking activities.

    Experience in HR administration, job evaluation, and policy development.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse and present HR data to support business decision-making.
