Due to an internal promotion we have an exciting opportunity to join the NCHA People team as an HR Assistant. We are a friendly and supportive team that provide HR services to the whole of NCHA. This is a permanent position that can accommodate 28 to 35 hours per week. Working hours for full time will be Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

PLEASE NOTE: While we are currently based in Nottingham NG5, we are very excited to be moving to our brand-new purpose-built offices in Clifton, Nottingham, NG11 in the next couple of months.

You will be working as part of a small team of HR Assistants and HR Coordinators providing coordination and comprehensive administrative support to the HR team and assisting in the provision of effective HR services to the organisation.

No two days are the same and you will have a variety of tasks to complete within agreed timescales. These will include but not be limited to:

- Pre-employment checks - gathering and collating all the necessary information and documentation to enable compliant new starters including processing DBS applications and right to work verification
- Managing the HR mailbox - either handling the enquiry or directing to the relevant team member. This may include sign posting colleagues to information on Terms and conditions, policy and procedure as well as external enquiries
- Providing clerical and administrative support to the team including the Head of People and HR Business Partner, pre-meeting prep and taking minutes at meetings as required, scanning, photocopying, shredding, distribution of mail and maintaining office supplies
- Administering the ordering of goods and payment of invoices using a purchase order system (Ebis)
- Maintaining HR and recruitment systems through accurate inputting and updating of candidate and colleague data; ensuring documentation is accurately stored and maintained.

You will have had some previous experience in a similar role where you ideally have had exposure to HR tasks including recruitment and other employee lifecycle activities.

You will be passionate about your work, a great communicator, possess excellent customer service skills and be able to demonstrate how you work effectively in a team, building good working relationships with all stakeholders.

Working in a very fast paced work environment, you will have experience of managing your own time, working on your own initiative and be able to juggle a busy and varied workload effectively to meet deadlines.

You must be a confident IT user including applicant tracking systems and HR systems; knowledge of iTrent would be an advantage.

Your can-do attitude and proactive outlook will mean that you will always be on the lookout for ways to improve what we do., Disability Confident
