Full Job Description
- Deliver timely customer-focused HR processes across an employee's lifecycle with the organisation including contractual and system changes, family friendly processes, leavers, etc. ensuring appropriate documentation is captured and recorded accurately
- Support the HR Department with the accurate maintenance of HR systems and effectively manage employee records
- Ensure activities are compliant with employment law and company policy/procedure
- Assist and support with relevant HR projects and ad hoc tasks
- Review and resolve general HR enquiries, escalating to others where relevant, to deliver a timely and supportive service.

- Employment Law knowledge and/or experience - up to date with employment law, HR best practice and other relevant legislation as you will be providing advice to customers
- Strong communication skills - a friendly professional attitude, a warm welcome and excellent telephone manner that allows you to confidently support staff at all levels and build effective relationships quickly, as well as maintaining high standards and flexibility in your written communications
- A genuine customer focus - fuelled by a natural curiosity for what matters to those we support and the demands of the department, you will have a non-judgmental approach to seeing and solving the right problems, enabling you to respectfully challenge and creatively improve our existing ways of working in line with our culture
- Self-awareness and empathy -consciously know and understand your own character, feelings and skills, and have the ability to understand and share the feelings of another
- Robust ICT capabilities - the role requires the confident use of the main Microsoft Office programmes and HR systems (Cascade HR, DocuSign)
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills - work across a wide variety of HR disciplines and be able to understand the right approach to prioritising your workload, managing the expectations of others and being accountable to the demands of the wider team
- Experience of working in an HR environment - its transactional processes and the wider function along with an understanding of HR, Right to Work and DBS processes with a desire to learn, develop and keep up to date is essential
- A commitment to learning and improvement - leading by example in demonstrating personal and professional growth, e.g. through CIPD, qualifications, training, etc.
- Team working - Working collaboratively with direct and indirect team members and the wider business to ensure an excellent service is delivered that enables people to perform at their best
You will work from our office located in Llanishen, Cardiff. WWH offers hybrid working, allowing staff to split their time between the office and working from home. Typically, this involves a schedule of 2-3 days in the office, depending on the specific requirements of your role and the needs of both customers and colleagues. This is a full time, fixed-term role for 12 months (until December 2025) and is part of a team of 3 HR Assistant's, that along with the HR Operations Manager as part of the transactional support service within the HR team (the 'HR Hub')., In return for your hard work, commitment and innovation, you will enjoy an environment focused on more than just competitive pay. You'll enjoy: - Salary £28,585 - £31,462 per annum. (subject to a 2% pay review January 2025).
