Full Job Description
Reporting to the Head of HR, you'll be providing HR support to the RMS business as part of a small team of HR professionals and contribute/lead special projects. As HR BP you'll engage with all levels of leadership, provide HR partnership to their client group, enabling the successful engagement, motivation and retention of employees. As the main HR interface for the client group line management, you'll be providing full HR support, building solid relationships, gaining trust, confidence and respect on all HR related matters, providing high quality advice and guidance. You'll be a credible HR Business Partner with leaders to develop projects, programmes and concepts to support the business including; new business and bids, employee relations and provide guidance and advice in the execution. Other duties include:
- Effective management of HR for client area, ensuring that stakeholders are kept updated and issues are identified early, solutions are developed and implemented with minimal direction.
- Provide advice, guidance and support on employee relations matters including leading the resolution of disciplinary, grievance and performance management issues.
- Working in partnership with senior management and their reporting managers with your client groups and engaging in the business rhythm. Participating in and contributing to, key meetings in order to understand the business and partnering to add value.
- Taking the lead in further developing the culture, driving the company values, and Diversity & Inclusion into daily practice.
- Support the team and Head of HR, and assist/lead with any other project work.
- Working in partnership with the CoE's (Talent, Reward) :
- Providing advice and guidance on compensation and benefits issues. This includes supporting the pay review, promotion and awards processes.
- Providing advice, guidance and support with recruitment. The position will require travel within the UK to support the business needs
- Previous HRBP experience, preferably within a technical matrix organisation, with a good understanding of employee relations, talent management, recruitment, reward and performance management, and employee engagement.
- A team player, able to work at all levels, and use own initiative
- Ability to be flexible, use initiative and work under pressure.
- Ability to influence, enabling successful delivery of people interventions.
- Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR role
- Good understanding of UK employment law and have demonstrable experience in handling employee relations issues.
- Demonstrated capability of building effective relationships and facilitating solutions across multiple stakeholders.
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritise issues and foresee and manage potential conflicts.
- Excellent computer literacy skills and HR database knowledge
