Full Job Description

The HR Business Partner reports to the Head of HR Business Partnering and is responsible for acting as the strategic link between our HR practices and the overall business objectives. Building strong relationships with senior leaders to influence and challenge what matters from a people and commercial perspective. Always keeping the employee experience central and with a strong focus on our values.

You will be responsible for:

  • Partnering strategically with senior business leaders to develop and deliver a comprehensive people strategy that supports the wider goals of the business.

  • Coaching leaders and advising managers on all people related matters.

  • Contributing to talent and succession plans at every level of our business, ensuring we are retaining our top talent and working collaboratively with the Head of Learning, Talent and Skills Management to ensure opportunities are there for people.

  • Driving performance management to help the business continue to grow.

  • Continually keeping an Inclusion & Diversity lens on the HR service and employee experience; challenging the leadership teams to be bold and offering suggestions for how we can improve in this area.

  • Overseeing the procedure and resolution of employee relations issues, taking into account best HR practice and up to date employment legislation at all times.

  • Ensuring that data and reporting on key people metrics is embedded into the information sharing with the Service Line Leadership teams. These metrics can inform decision-making and strategy, helping the business to improve its people practices and achieve its goals.

  • Engaging with employees in a meaningful way on all HR matters and projects.

    An ability to think strategically and anticipate future workforce needs.

  • The ability to understand the parts of the business you are supporting, its commercial levers and how they manage success.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to join the dots in seeing the bigger picture.

  • Able to build strong relationships, influence stakeholders and gain buy-in for HR initiatives.

  • A self-starter and pro-active.

  • The ability to combine commercial acumen with the people agenda.

  • Comfortable working with data and interpreting HR metrics to inform decision making.

  • Identifying and advising on all people related challenges, developing solutions with both the employee and business in mind.

  • Excellent stakeholder management especially on change management.

  • Flexible and agile, able to pivot easily and to manage a varied portfolio of work with ease.

  • Strong knowledge of employment law and how to handle employee relations cases.

    The HR Business Partner operates as a strategic partner to leadership teams across the business, delivering HR Business Partner support with impact, tailored HR solutions and always with a focus on employee experience.
