At Allianz Commercial our Human Resources department has an in-depth understanding of the business, to deliver a best-in-class support to our workforce. We're looking for an HR Business Partner to cooperate with our employees and managers to proactively support overall business ambitions.

The Impact You Will Have

The HR Business Partner is the primary HR adviser to the business, responsible for consulting on all HR processes. They counsel and coach managers on HR policies, procedures, and systems, and play an active role in HR aspects of business development. They advise and support the business in motivating and retaining talent during change management scenarios as well as also ensure internal talent is well understood and correctly deployed.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

Business Representation

  • Represent the business within the HR community, providing an organization-specific perspective.


  • Assess HR implications of business strategy, identify opportunities, and design solutions.


  • Maintain relationships with senior managers to drive HR program execution.


  • Business Consultation
  • Serve as adviser to employees and managers on HR and people-related matters, providing advice based on local business context.


  • Develop resourcing strategies, identify high performers, and ensure succession planning.


  • Consult and coach on employee relations issues, such as performance, misconduct and disciplinary actions.


  • HR Processes
  • Represent HR programs and processes to the business.


  • Support implementation of HR processes, including rewards, performance, grading, talent, and recruiting.


  • Advise on HR policies and processes, and support recruitment for all positions in the business area.


  • Projects & Initiatives
  • Support regional and global projects and initiatives.


  • Champion business change and continuous improvement with business managers.

    Bachelor / Master's degree (or equivalent)


  • Profound previous experience as an HRBP, preferably in a global organization


  • Experience working in a matrix and virtual team environment supporting multiple locations


  • Strong knowledge of UK local/regional employment law


  • Ability to negotiate, often in difficult situations, and steer discussions to a desired end


  • Strengths to analyze data from multiple sources (e.g., calculations, multiple process steps, conflicting information, etc.)


  • Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally


  • Capable to maintain and build positive business relationships with customers and stakeholders


  • Quick thinking with business acumen


  • Fluent in English
