Full Job Description

We are hiring two HR Business Partners (HRBPs) supporting Canada and the UK. You will serve as a strategic partner to the departmental leadership teams. The HRBPs will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management, and delivering value-added services that drive organizational effectiveness and employee success. You will help foster a high-performance culture by identifying HR solutions that support growth, engagement, and operational excellence., 1. Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with departmental leaders to understand business objectives and provide HR insights that drive effective decision-making. Partner with leadership on workforce planning, talent management, and organizational design to align the structure and staffing with strategic goals. 2. Employee Relations: Provide day-to-day support and guidance to management and employees on employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and performance management. Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and employment laws. 3. Talent Management: Drive talent development initiatives, including succession planning, career development, and performance coaching. Support recruitment efforts by collaborating with talent acquisition teams to ensure alignment with the department's hiring needs. 4. Change Management: Partner with leaders to facilitate change management initiatives that support business transformation, growth, and development. Lead communication efforts and training for HR-driven changes, ensuring smooth implementation and adoption. 5. Employee Engagement and Retention: Develop and implement employee engagement strategies tailored to the department's culture and needs. Regularly assess employee morale through surveys, focus groups, or other tools, and partner with leadership to address concerns and retain top talent. 6. HR Analytics & Reporting: Leverage data and metrics to provide insights on employee performance, retention, and engagement. Report on HR metrics such as turnover, headcount, and employee satisfaction to drive decision-making. 7. Compliance & Policies: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and maintain knowledge of HR best practices. Support the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures. 8. Learning and Development: Work with leadership to identify skill gaps and facilitate training programs to address departmental learning needs. Support the onboarding and integration of new employees into the department.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in an HR Business Partner role, ideally in a technology or fast-growth industry. Experience working in a multi-national company is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. CIPD qualification (UK) or CPHR certification (Canada) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Employment Law: Strong understanding of employment laws in both Canada and the UK, with the ability to apply this knowledge to daily operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Leadership and Coaching: Demonstrated ability to influence and coach managers, support leadership development, and drive a performance-oriented culture.
  • Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to address employee relations matters, mediate conflicts, and implement effective solutions.
  • Adaptability and Agility: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing business needs.
  • Data-Driven: Proficiency in using HR metrics and data analytics to drive decisions, improve employee engagement, and measure the effectiveness of HR programs.
  • Technology Proficiency: Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, BambooHR) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite., Proactive & Self-Motivated: A self-starter with the ability to identify HR challenges and opportunities and take initiative to solve them.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and build effective relationships with team members at all levels.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to work effectively with a diverse, international workforce and foster an inclusive, positive work environment.
  • Confidentiality & Integrity: Highest standards of confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive HR matters.
