Reporting to the Head of HR and working closely with a team of business partners, you will champion change and evolve HR to a more proactive and commercial service with our people at its heart. What you will do We do not wait for opportunities, we make opportunities - in this role you will develop your own opportunities and objectives for growth alongside the following and more:

  • Understand the goals and priorities of the business and provide helpful information, coaching and HR expertise to support the achievement of these goals;
  • Using your knowledge of the business and relationships with your stakeholders you will lead the creation and development of people plans, driving their delivery through day-to-day leadership, influencing the business where needed;
  • Own and drive the implementation of bespoke strategic people initiatives so the business can deliver their plans;
  • Gather and share intelligence and market trends on best-in-class people management practices to influence business strategy;
  • Maintain up to date in-depth knowledge of legal requirements for management of employees, ensuring compliance and enabling employee satisfaction and retention;
  • Utilise data and business metrics to inform decision-making, drive change, and continuously improve performance;
  • Identify and nurture our future talent and leaders through effective succession planning,
  • Support your stakeholders with organisational design and change management, including any acquisition and integration activity;
  • Build successful and trusted relationships with senior stakeholders to influence and challenge where necessary and work in collaboration as "One" with the wider HR teams.

    Strong commercial acumen, with a solid understanding of people challenges in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, the ability to influence & manage change and inspire trust at all levels;
  • Strong Employee Relations experience, providing coaching to the Centres of Excellence teams and ensuring a proactive and efficient ER service is managed on behalf of the business are you support;
  • You'll think and act strategically and have the ability to coach senior leaders to enhance culture as well as having the resilience to manage difficult discussions;
  • High-level knowledge of employment legislation and best practice;
  • Generalist background in HR, covering areas such as organisational restructure, performance management, talent management, and people processes.
  • This role will require travel to offices within your business area across the UK and will include a monthly management meeting in person, usually in London, Dudley or Cheltenham. This is an opportunity for an HR business partner experienced working at a strategic level and managing a high-performing team. You will need to be a self-motivated, organised individual who works well under pressure, with excellent attention to detail. You will work to tight deadlines and have the ability to manage competing priorities, so flexibility and adaptability is key. It goes without saying that you will need to manage and communicate effectively across all mediums with stakeholders at all levels, you will need to work collaboratively, demonstrate professionalism, energy and persistence.
