WHAT TO EXPECT

This role sits within the Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EPMC) to achieve their commercial goals in this fiscal year.

You'll build commercially focused people plans which will be the basis for a productive partnership with this critical area of Manufacturing.

Your plan will synthesise business strategy and HR strategy; drawing on inputs from multiple stakeholders, including the Transformation People Partner and you will build and drive completion of this plan with a focus on talent management, learning and development, organisational design & development, recruitment, culture, diversity, engagement, employee relations and building leadership capabilities.

You'll be a member of the leadership team for the plant, providing input on business & people decisions, coaching the directors and their teams as required.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement people plans to achieve short- and long-term strategic objectives while ensuring the people strategy / approach is aligned to wider IO, People and JLR strategies

  • Coach leaders and drive the ongoing development of people capability in the line management population.

  • Manage and resolve complex Employee Relations issues within their area including maintaining the relationship with the Trade Union convenor and representatives.

  • Support and effectively manage organisational change to ensure strategic business objectives are met.

  • Cross functional working with HR (Centres of Expertise, HR Shared Services and wider HRBP community), Manufacturing, Finance and other functions to deliver people strategies / initiatives.

    Proven HRBP experience ideally gained within a large, complex organisation

  • Strong business acumen shown through evidence of creating plans which developed and empowered people, introducing new or innovative practices/processes in support of strategic business goals

  • To embrace differences, be empathetic, welcome challenges and empowering others to deliver

  • Experience of influencing and implementing change in large, complex organisations

  • Proven experience of improving the workplace and workforce performance through the delivery of HR interventions in Employee Relations
