HomeServe are currently recruiting for a HR Business Partner to join the Consumer Finance Team at Group Level. This role is part time at 21 hours (3 days) per week. As the team expands the role is likely to be made full time in the coming years, a great opportunity for someone looking to further their future career!
The ideal candidate will be a real self starter with a generalist background in HR policies and principles as well as recruitment. You must have great communication skills, a positive can do attitude and be really passionate about your career goals and objectives.
This role is based in Walsall in the West Midlands, however, occasional travel into our other offices will also be required.
You will act as the HR lead for the Consumer Finance business unit in all people related matters. Responsible for the end to end employee journey and setting up new processes to improve employee experience. As the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), you will play a strategic and influential role within the consumer finance business unit. Reporting to the Director of Risk & Compliance, you will be responsible for aligning HR initiatives and processes with business objectives, driving organisation effectiveness and fostering a diverse and positive working culture., Acquisition - Having responsibility over all resourcing and recruit into the Consumer Finance business; including managing the relationship with search firms and coordinating ability. Supporting hiring managers with interviews where required and liaising with candidates on all aspects of the recruitment process. Working closely with the other members of the business to successfully onboard new employees, including completion of all right to work checks, referencing and visa sponsorship applications where required. Conducting recruitment activities with an inclusive hiring mindset and upskilling hiring managers to conduct assessment and selection in the most fair and equitable manner. Tracking the success of hiring decisions by collating data on new employees including diversity, talent management and retention information.
Engagement - Coordinate and deliver the businesses engagement survey by ensuring there is full support from the senior EMEA management on the process to be followed including frequency, timing, content and reporting output. Ensure results can be easily interpreted and understood by the business and support in the creation and ongoing action plans are in place. Lead employee engagement activities across the year to embed a positive team culture. Support in the disbursement of communications across the department and to other parts of the business.
People management, Metrics and Analytics - Responsibility for the collation of information to provide valuable insight on people's performance, HR trends, including headcount, turnover and absence. Collate information for the leadership team to support in Reward, Remuneration and talent management activities as well as meet DE&I targets at this level.
Talent Management & Development - Support talent management practices and support talent review and succession planning process. Coordinate the introduction and successful execution of any talent management programmes. Provide support on training, mentoring or coaching as required.
Governance - SME in employment law, HR policies, procedures and ensure governances, payroll and BAU risk management controls.

Solid HR generalist experience with knowledge of core HR principles and practices as well as current employment law and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently using own initiative.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost discretion.
Problem solving and decision making skills with a data driven approach.
Some experience of the key HR disciplines of Resourcing, DE&I, Engagement, Talent Management and HR Analytics
CIPD qualified (or equivalent experience)
