Full Job Description

As a result of recent investment in the People function, we are looking for a talented, enthusiastic, person-centred HR professional to lead our People Services team. The team provides services to support workforce planning, people systems, recruitment, job evaluation, with this role leading on HR Quality and Governance. As we are currently going through a period of change and quality improvement, this is an exciting time to join us. The post holder will work alongside the Trust QI lead, to provide specialist advice and support to the department in the implementation and embedding of rigorous and systematic models for Quality Improvement. Supporting a collaborative and influencing style of working, collaborating with others to achieve the best outcomes and embedding a methodological approach of Quality Improvement across the people team. The successful candidate will have a background in Quality Improvement and governance and whilst being a people professional will be an advantage, it is not essential. However, you will have demonstrable experience with QI and experience of monitoring and reporting on metrics with a PMO approach. The core responsibilities are:- · Lead the department's information governance approach including ensuring that we collect, record and report as per our legal and procedural obligations; this includes ensuring the processing of workforce FOI and SAR requests, is in accordance with the Data Protection Act · Using QI methodology, the postholder will engage with teams at every level across the HR function in the scoping, redesign and implementation of new ways of working to improve quality and establish necessary staff and trade union engagement to ensure that the views of all stakeholders are used to improve the quality and delivery of people services · Ensure that the department's systems, processes and procedures are legally compliant ensuring all policies and procedures are valid, in date and have had appropriate consultation with our trade unions representatives · Work in partnership with our trade unions, and through the Job Evaluation Lead, lead the Trust Job Evaluation process ensuring our processes are transparent, robust and are compliant with the national arrangements · Lead the department's approach to performance and programme management to ensure the department is able to achieve the Trust priorities relating to our people. This includes the design and monitoring of people key performance indicators across all areas, taking action where performance is below expectations
