As part of the Flexible Pipe Systems Offshore team based in Newcastle UK, you will be joining an established business and team with expertise in pipe design, manufacturing, and installation. This unique combination allows our customers to increase production and asset integrity whilst reducing the overall costs associated with a pipeline system., We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our dynamic team in Newcastle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources with a specific focus on labour relations and experience working with trade unions. This role will be instrumental in aligning HR strategies with business objectives, fostering a positive workplace culture, and managing employee relations effectively. As a HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for:
- Partnering with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives.
- Providing insights and recommendations on workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development.
- Serving as a primary point of contact for employee relations issues, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts.
- Facilitating communications and negotiations between management and union representatives, ensuring a cooperative work environment.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with union representatives to foster positive labour relations.
- Participating in collective bargaining negotiations, contract administration, and grievance resolution processes.
- Reviewing, developing, and implementing HR policies and procedures in compliance with legal regulations and industry standards.
- Ensuring the organization adheres to labour laws and regulations, providing guidance to management on compliance issues.
- Identifying training needs and coordinate development programs for employees and management.
- Supporting managers in performance management processes, including performance reviews and improvement plans.
- Ensuring that performance management practices are fair, consistent, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Analysing HR metrics and trends to provide insights and recommendations for improving workforce effectiveness.
- Preparing reports for senior management on employee engagement, turnover, and other HR-related metrics.
Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or CIPD with significant years of experience in Human Resources (as HR generalist or HRBP). - Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Have proven experience handling union-related matters and collective bargaining processes.
- Have a strong understanding of labour laws, employee relations, and HR best practices.
- Have experience within a Manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Be proactive with a results-oriented mindset.
- Have a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Have adaptability and a willingness to embrace change.
