Full Job Description

This role will primarily work across high-profile HR projects that will deliver significant change for the BBC's HR teams, Team Leaders & Staff (UK and International)., The HR Change Lead will work closely with project team(s) to ensure there is a compelling vision for the "future state" with clearly defined benefits. Through the application of business change techniques, the role holder will engage with the project and business stakeholders to identify how the change impacts on the business, assess business readiness, and ensure sufficient engagement to adopt planned changes and realise sustainable business benefit.,

  • Develop the Change Management Strategy and identify requirements, roles and responsibilities
  • Complete the change impact assessment against the intended TOM/blueprint
  • Design and plan change management interventions to successfully embed the change
  • Stakeholder identification, mapping and communication planning through the life cycle of the project
  • Lead the implementation of key plans and monitor progress against success criteria. Plans may include change management, communications and training plans
  • Define the Business and HR Acceptance Criteria
  • Deliver learning and development requirements e.g. needs-based analysis, learning/training plans and materials
  • Ensure sufficient engagement to change ways of working and realise sustainable business benefits
  • Liaise with the BBC Internal Communication Teams
  • Establish and lead change agents within the business where appropriate
  • Co-ordinate, deliver and monitor change activities
  • Report progress and risks/issues to the appropriate governance boards
  • Support the benefits realisation plan
  • Implement sustainability change plans, monitors end user adoption rates and reports on change management effectiveness
  • Conduct lessons learned sessions.

    The successful candidate will be an established Change Manager with extensive experience of managing, implementing and monitoring change within complex projects and programmes. You will bring a wealth of experience managing stakeholders and building credibility with peers and leaders cross functionally. Coupled with a proven ability to gain buy-in to enable change to happen through others., Relevant qualification, e.g. one of Change Management Institute ACMF (Accredited Change Manager Foundation); MSP Practitioner; APMG - Change Management; Prosci ADKAR Model or equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience initiating, managing and implementing change via transformational change programmes.
  • Sound knowledge of the principles and concepts that underpin change management and can advise on a best practice approach to business change
  • Good understanding and demonstrable approach to benefits management
  • Works well under pressure, with complexity and ambiguity, and can flex to changes in priorities/focus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (including presentation) skills and a proven ability to develop, maintain and enhance relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, and an awareness of the project/ programme context and discipline. Fully proficient at planning, risk and dependency-management.
  • Able to identify both the overt and covert culture of the organisation and its influence on the change
  • Desirable skills/experience include:
  • Experience of working on technology projects related to HR is desirable
