Full Job Description

As Canvas8's HR Co-ordinator, you'll be the heartbeat of our dynamic workplace, delivering on HR policy, employee relations, and shaping our vibrant culture. You'll manage everything - from absences and disciplinaries to parental leave - with a supportive touch and structured approach, while always championing our values. Your role will be crucial in overseeing onboarding and offboarding, maintaining and communicating progressive HR processes, and managing global employee benefits and sponsorships. You'll be the HR champion for our diverse and talented global team.

In addition to handling day-to-day HR functions, you'll partner with our Senior Leadership Team to drive strategic initiatives and support our Diversity and Inclusivity Committee. Your role will involve both strategic and operational contributions, ensuring our HR practices are seamless across all regions and that every team member feels supported, valued, and empowered to succeed.

Day-to-day

  • Overseeing onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions

  • Managing employee sponsorships

  • Managing employee benefits schemes

  • Managing our HR systems

  • Monitoring compliance with local employment laws and regulations across all locations

  • Actioning our HR processes, procedures and policies

  • Supporting on trans-Atlantic HR oversight

  • Promoting our values and workplace culture

  • Encouraging a diversity of talent and supporting our Diversity and Inclusivity Committee

  • Delivering HR optimisation projects

  • Supporting employee relations, including absences, disciplinaries, sickness and maternity/paternity

  • Acting as the go-to for HR queries; triaging and troubleshooting challenges, maintaining open communication, and fostering a positive work environment

You'll play a crucial role in developing and implementing robust HR systems, ensuring smooth operations across our global offices from London to LA. You understand the importance of being responsive and proactive when delivering on HR processes and implementing smart systems to streamline your day-to-day.

    You're passionate about helping people, socially aware, and personable, and you have excellent communication skills. You're unflappable in the face of challenges, maintaining a positive attitude and continually striving for positive change.

    You understand the balance between being close to the team - building trust and meaningful relationships - and being able to follow and enforce our policies and employee handbook when required.

    Calm and confident, you don't shy away from dealing with issues and speaking up on behalf of colleagues. You act with natural discretion, whether you're managing salaries, dealing with sensitive issues, or building trust with employees and senior management alike.,
  • 3+ years experience in a similar role with a track record of managing onboarding, HR policies and maintaining HR systems

  • CIPD qualification or equivalent

  • Proven experience working in a global environment, with a solid understanding of diverse HR policies and practices across different regions is preferred

  • Previous experience in employee relations is desirable

  • Knowledge of most key HR disciplines and procedures

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

  • Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude

  • Reliable and strongly ethical

    The base salary ranges from £36,000 to £40,000, depending on experience
