Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Coordinator to join our HR Operations team in Birmingham.

As HR Coordinator, you’ll support our wider HR function by providing HR administrative and policy assistance across the firm, maintaining employee records, coordinating onboarding programmes and getting involved in supporting Early Talent initiatives. You will have strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities and attention to detail, alongside an interest in challenging the status quo and continually improving core HR processes and practices.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as first point of contact for all HR administrative queries; via our query management system 'AskHR', phone calls, emails or referral from a team member;

  • Providing administrative support across the wider HR team, including Advisory, Reward, Early Talent and other areas where required;

  • Delivering the HR Operations activity to a high quality, achieving agreed SLAs and escalating issues to line manager where required;

  • Working as part of a team, this role will be responsible for all payroll and HR system updates in the firm's people management system 'People Hub' (Oracle Cloud) and then corresponding change of contract letters/emails;

  • Co-ordination of the onboarding process for new joiners and the leaver process;

  • Production of standard letters including training and newly qualified contract offers, references, credit/DBS checking, SRA checks and renewals;

  • Production of probation communications and management of 3 & 6 month reviews;

  • Co-ordination of all family leave meetings and requests (maternity/paternity/adoption/shared parental) starters and returner processes and all necessary paperwork;

  • General administration as and when required to include efiling and general maintenance of the firms employee records;

  • Reviewing high volumes of vacation scheme applications (Oct to Dec);

  • Working with the HR Advisory team to support in employee relations cases as required;

  • Managing HR policies on the intranet, including updating them when required with legislative and firm updates;

  • Managing the exit interview process across the firm and conduct face to face interviews where required;

  • Other ad hoc HR projects and work as required.

    We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working within a fast paced environment;

  • Has excellent IT Skills, with good knowledge of Word, Excel and Powerpoint;

  • Has an interest in HR and an understanding of HR administration

  • Is a team player and takes ownership of their work;

  • Is tenacious in driving work to completion;

  • Is able to identify changes to processes and systems, and think of how to implement these, to drive a more efficient service to the firm;

  • Has excellent interpersonal skills.
