Full Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Workforce Development, this generalist HR Manager role will oversee the operational management of the HR Department playing a key role in managing the full employee lifecycle whilst supporting the delivery of the Charity's people strategy for employees. The person will:

  • Provide proactive, professional, expert HR advice and coaching on the full range of HR policies and procedures to all managers and employees across the charity.
  • Manage complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, grievances, disciplinary's and absence.
  • Provide line management to the HR Administrator ensuring the delivery of high quality, comprehensive HR administration that is accurate, produced on a timely basis and in line with best practice and legislation.
  • Oversee the full recruitment cycle including but not limited to writing job adverts, advertising on various platforms, candidate shortlisting, interviews and provide full line management support and advice in line with SAFER recruitment guidelines.
  • Produce and report monthly HR KPIs and use the data to identify opportunities.
  • Lead on key People projects (eg Employee Wellbeing to raise awareness and increase employee wellbeing).
  • Responsible for the delivery of a relevant and comprehensive new starter induction programme, for all new starters.
  • Support the Head of Workforce Development in creating a learning and development culture across the Charity. Identify training opportunities and source and create suitable training material for employees and line managers.

    CIPD Level 7 qualified/ working towards it.
  • 3 years + experience in a HR advising role demonstrating knowledge and experience across the full range of HR activities.
  • 2 years + line management experience, with the ability to adapt their leadership style.
  • Good knowledge of UK HR and employment legislation.
  • Proven IT skills and ability to use a range of software packages.
  • Demonstrable flexibility and adaptability to support team deliverables.
