Full Job Description

The Service: HR departments comprising of: HR People Centre (HRPC), Recruitment, Employee Relations (ER), HR Information Systems (HRIS), HR Business Partners (HRBP), HR Strategy, Pay and Organisational Development, Temporary recruitment agency and Learning and Development (L&D) who support key corporate and operational functions for Portsmouth City Council's Employees. Your New Role: You will provide high quality administrative support with a pro-active can-do attitude, based within the Learning and Development team. You will support the training provision, Apprenticeship Team and Learning Management System 'Learning Portal' for Portsmouth City Council. You will handle course bookings, attendance reporting and equipment use, as well as ordering for goods and services and payment of invoices. You will be a point of contact for customers of L&D and support excellent customer service. The role is initially fully office-based; opportunities for some hybrid working can be discussed later.
You have a customer focus and can demonstrate consistently high standards of customer care and customer service. You have transferable skills to work in an office and/or L&D environment, and have the communication skills to work with internal and external customers and colleagues. You have a confident and outgoing personality, can actively listen and interpret customer needs, and are keen to learn. You can work flexibly, prioritising your workload and with excellent attention to detail and good organisational skills. You will always uphold the professional reputation of the service encompassing the organisational values, challenging appropriately when required.
