  • About the role We're making some exciting changes to the HR Division at NFU Mutual. With future-proofed capabilities, technology enabled systems, high engagement and improved career paths high on the agenda, this is a great time to join the team. This brand-new HR Technology Manager role will own and oversee our proposition, ensuring we're firmly future focused and meeting the needs of the business. As the HR Technology Manager at NFU Mutual, you'll play a crucial role in leading the strategic development and management of our HR technology landscape. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the operational resilience, management, and daily service delivery of our HR systems, ensuring they're robust, efficient, and aligned with our long-term business strategies. You'll design and implement the HR Technology roadmap, which will involve creating and championing a gold standard user experience across all employee-facing systems. This includes ensuring that our system architecture is future-ready and supports both the HR function and broader business goals. In addition to managing the day-to-day operations, you'll create and own the HR AI strategy, aligning it with the wider Group AI strategy, and supporting the use of automation to enhance operational efficiencies and user journeys. You'll establish and maintain frameworks for monitoring security and data integrity within HR systems, providing accurate reporting for assurance and governance. You'll also influence and educate senior stakeholders within the HR leadership team and the wider business to better understand business and customer requirements, thereby driving the delivery of effective technology solutions. You'll stay informed of the latest technology advancements by networking and attending industry events, which will help inform our innovation, AI, and overall HR technology strategy. Distilling this knowledge to the wider HR Systems team, you'll foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Additionally, you'll oversee the design and delivery of relevant technical systems and software training for the HR systems team and wider users, ensuring strong adoption and competency rates. Leading and developing your direct reports will be key to maximising their contribution to business objectives and realising their potential. This role is based in our Tiddington Head Office, just outside Stratford-Upon-Avon. However, we understand how important a positive work-life balance is, so to help you give your best, we offer great facilities when you want to be in an office environment and support to work up to 80% of your hours from home.

You are a visionary leader with a passion for leveraging technology to transform HR operations. With extensive experience in managing HR technology systems and implementing technology roadmaps within complex organisational settings, you have a proven track record of leading technology-driven change and enhancing user experiences. Additionally, you stay informed of the latest technology advancements and are always looking for ways to innovate and improve processes. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team dedicated to delivering innovative HR solutions and enhancing the employee experience. To join our team, you'll also have:
  • Experience of managing and developing technical teams
  • Ability to strategically design and execute plans that align with long-term business goals
  • Strong leadership skills that enable you to motivate, develop and align a team
  • Ability to drive the adoption of new technologies and foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Experience of communicating complex technical concepts to a range of stakeholders
  • A customer-focused approach to ensure a high-quality internal and external service at all levels
  • Knowledge of data protection standards and compliance requirements
  • Degree-level qualification in technology/business/HR related field
