Full Job Description
We are looking to recruit an expert Early Language, communication and interaction in our brand-new Enhanced Resource Provision. Initially, a maximum of approximately 8-10 children over the coming year will access at any one time and the Provision will always have 2-3 adults supporting to ensure consistent interaction and development of children's needs. This is an exciting opportunity for the lead be an integral part of the Hub's design and development.
The successful candidate will support children within the unit to ensure they engage more effectively with their learning and help increase levels of achievement through appropriate a provision. This is a great opportunity to combine mentoring skills whilst working in a supportive environment. They will also deliver small group work and 1:1 interventions.
The Hub is being developed for our children who struggle to sufficiently access mainstream provision due to their SLC and Interaction needs. We will look to reintegrate the children when deemed appropriate, but these children benefit from the additional support, structure and resources that a smaller provision provides which focuses on early language and interactions.
The right candidate will, have experience of developing children, as well as leading the provision on a day-to-day basis, will be instrumental in the development and delivery intervention programmes, particularly related to Speech, Language and communication needs. In conjunction with the class teacher using Bsquared steps/objectives.
