Full Job Description

  • Establishment of the human factors scope and strategy to produce the nuclear safety case Undertaking human factors assessments for new build nuclear facilities & production of human factors schedules.
  • Ensuring safety documentation meets the clients' requirements

    A degree in engineering or suitable scientific subject. Experience of working in a safety and safety case environment within either the nuclear industry, or a similar highly regulated industry.
  • Experience of human factors safety case development throughout project life cycle phases from early conception through to facility handover.
  • Experience of attending Hazard Identification workshops e.g. HAZOP/SHERA/HAZCON.
  • Experience of HF design verification of operator tasks, equipment design and organisation environments & providing ergonomic design advice and HF substantiation of safety significant tasks/operator claims.
  • Experience of leading and supervising junior team members and working with external regulators Sellafield Capability, INSA, ONR etc.
  • Previous experience of material transfer or storage safety cases.
  • Ability to collect and understand LFE from nuclear projects.
  • Demonstrable ability to write clearly and present complex arguments in a well-structured manner, suitable for a varied audience.
