Full Job Description

Are you an experienced Administrative professional looking for a new opportunity? Then this role could be for you! Our Human Resources (HR) Administrative Assistant role would suit an individual with a background in Administration and an interest in Human Resources. You do not have to have worked in Human Resources previously as training will be provided. There is also the opportunity to do an apprenticeship as part of this role, such a Level 3 CIPD. The role is office based, at either West Durrington or Brighton MET (Central) campus, depending upon your preference. After the probationary period, there may be the opportunity for some hybrid working. As our HR Administrative Assistant, you will carry out a range of tasks to support the HR Services team including:

  • Supporting the recruitment process by passing over application forms for hiring managers to shortlist, helping to arrange interviews and preparing paperwork.
  • Requesting and verifying references for successful candidates.
  • Providing a customer focused reception service for the HR team, monitoring the HR inbox, answering the phone and dealing with requests from staff and members of the public.
  • Ensuring HR records are kept up to date.
  • Drafting correspondence and emails.
  • Supporting with ad hoc recruitment events.

    We are looking for someone that is customer service focused, experienced in working with IT systems and databases and competent in Microsoft Office programmes. You will need to ensure complete confidentiality at all times and work within our organisational values and safeguarding guidelines.
