Full Job Description

A Vacancy at Northumbria Healthcare - NHCT Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

We have an exciting opportunity for motivated and conscientious individuals to work within our fast paced Recruitment Team within People Services.

This would be an ideal opportunity for applicants looking to gain some Human Resources experience or those looking to consolidate prior HR learning/experience in a large public sector organisation. We currently have one permanent contract available.

This post is offered working on a hybrid model with the majority being office days.

The successful applicant will be responsible for administering our full recruitment and selection process including placing adverts, arranging interviews, processing successful candidates pre-employment clearances (including references, DBS checks, ID and Right to Work checks) and issuing contracts of employment.

Applications are invited from candidates who have excellent communication and organisational skills in order to prioritise a varied workload on a daily basis, alongside those who are able to use their own initiative effectively within a busy working environment.

The post will be based at Northumbria House, Cobalt Business Park but the post holder will be required to work at other sites within the Trust on a regular basis. Therefore they must have the ability to travel to all of our Trust sites to support the delivery of inductions and assessment centres.

We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate. High quality patient care is at the heart of everything we do and we strive to ensure every single patient and service user has an exceptional experience with us. We have one of the most extensive patient experience programmes of any trust in England.

To provide a comprehensive flexible administrative Human Resources service to staff, advising on queries arising from staff terms and conditions and recruitment and selection policies.

To maintain computerised Human Resources Systems, Records and Databases.
