Full Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Humanities to join our motivated, forward-thinking team that values continuous improvement and excellence. Working in a busy, forward thinking High School, you will be responsible for setting high standards that inspire and challenge students, creating an engaging and productive learning environment. You will plan thoughtful, well-structured lessons aimed at promoting positive student outcomes, demonstrating strong subject expertise and a comprehensive understanding of the curriculum. Adapting your teaching approach to cater to the diverse strengths and needs of all students will be essential, as will effectively using assessments to support student progress.   • Responsibilities of a Secondary Teacher:
  • Deliver and provide opportunities for students to learn and express themselves.
  • Ensure that students are engaged, motivated and on task.
  • Manage any behaviour issues that may arise.
  • Follow school policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Requirements of a Secondary Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to manage behaviour effectively
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to collaborate
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Registrations required to be a Secondary Teacher:
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, but if you do not have one, you can apply for a new one through Educate.
