Full Job Description

The HVAC Engineer is key in providing a design engineering service. The HVAC Engineer is responsible for the production of discipline specific design and engineering deliverables to support the project. Main purpose of the role: The Engineer is principally a hands-on design based role with a degree of team leadership. The Engineer is responsible for delivering a package of work within a project within their discipline. Frequent liaison with other disciplines in the design team and the client would be expected. The engineers are the main interface between senior management and hands-on design.,

  • Development of designs to satisfy the technical specification,
  • Production of design deliverables throughout the design process,
  • Checking of basic design calculations,
  • Contribution to design reviews and safety reviews,
  • Preparation of technical specifications,
  • Preparation of installation, commissioning, and operating documents,
  • Ensuring quality and timely delivery of design documentation throughout all phases of the design process,
  • Compliance with safety and statutory regulations,
  • Develop cost effective technical solutions.
  • Site surveys and production of assessment/substantiation reports.

    Degree qualified in a relevant technical / engineering discipline or demonstrable experience,
  • Associate membership of a discipline specific engineering institution.
  • Profile Duties and Requirements Essential
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals within your engineering discipline
  • Previous experience in the role of design in highly regulated industry
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering design solutions
  • Good understanding of safety legislation and statutory regulations
  • Proven track record within a project environment
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Good commercial awareness.
  • Containment ventilation systems
  • Knowledge of REVIT and AutoCAD
  • IESVE design software
  • Desirable
  • Degree Qualified in a relevant technical/engineering discipline,
  • Experience in the nuclear industry,
  • Management of design teams in the technical delivery of projects,
  • Management of sub-contractors,
  • Nuclear Experience
  • A full UK driving licence
