Full Job Description

London South Bank University are excited to be recruiting for the post of Hydrogen Laboratory Research Technician within our Technical Support Services (TSS). The TSS team collaborates with academics to support teaching and research activities across college and university to deliver LSBU's ambitions for research and enterprise. The partnerships it creates focus on tackling social, economic, and environmental challenges; delivering real-world outcomes and solutions that have a tangible impact. This position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to take a lead role in the technical support within the hydrogen and other interdisciplinary research areas across Schools and supporting the Principal Investigators. The postholder will be expected to provide technical support for teaching related activities and outreach activities. This role will be full time, fixed term for 2 years, with opportunity to review at the end.

We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:

  • Experience of providing engineering technical support for teaching, research and development/or instrumentation in a laboratory environment using a wide range of equipment related.
  • Competency in the safe and effective operation of a range of mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment and instrumentation and field-based equipment, including experience of commissioning, calibrating, and maintaining a wide range of laboratory equipment in these areas.
  • Knowledge and experience/Specialising in Hydrogen research
