Full Job Description

Geary's is a fast-growing business and as part of this growth we are seeking a Hygiene Coordinator to join our team. To follow and develop processes to ensure our customers receive right first time Hygiene standards. To drive a culture of continuous improvement; empowering your team to improve performance, increase and maintain quality of Hygiene standards and delivery your departments KPIs. To support the Hygiene Manager with the administration of the Hygiene function. To communicate effectively to both your team and your stakeholders, including Production, Technical, Engineering, Stores, Finishing and Loading, Glenfield 1 & Glenfield 2 through all means of communication. The main responsibilities include:

  • To provide administration support to the hygiene function across both sites.
  • To assist with the creation of CIC cards.
  • To assist with the creation of all associated risk assessments.
  • To provide training support to the hygiene function, this will include nights as and when required.
  • Support the Hygiene team with Non-conformance close outs.
  • To support the Hygiene team with all documentation requirements. Auditing of paperwork, gap analysis, training matrix etc.
  • Support the department with ordering processes.
  • Support the department with audit compliance associated with external contractors, such as pest control & waste management.

    Ability to work with cross functional departments to meet company goals.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive and calm attitude.
  • Working to high standards, driving continuous improvement.
  • Work enthusiastically and tenaciously to achieve goals. Willing to take initiative, co-operate with decision-making and act on issues which may have an adverse effect on product quality.
  • Planning your own time to ensure all operations are carried out as effectively as possible.
  • Ensure you and your team follow company processes and procedures.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Ability to speak and write in English.
  • Good levels of literacy and numeracy
  • Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Good IT skills, ability to work with Outlook, Excel, and Word.
