Hygiene Operative (2 Shift)

As a Hygiene Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest level of cleanliness across site, and compliance with industry standards for safety and quality.,

• Carry out daily and periodic cleaning in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring the hygiene of our factory and communal areas meet standards that ensure food safety, allergen control and good manufacturing practice (GMP).
• Safely and responsibly use cleaning chemicals in line with training and risk assessments
• Accurately complete post cleaning check documentation to ensure compliance with our Quality Management System.
• Ensure that factory disposable personal protective equipment (PPE) and other sundries are replenished in all appropriate areas.
Working Pattern:
• 2 Shift (14.00 - 22.00; 06.00 - 14.00; Monday - Friday) rotating weekly
  
  We are a new Chocolate manufacturing site based on the Essex/Suffolk border seeking enthusiastic and reliable Hygiene Operatives to ensure the clean and safe running of the factory., Experience carrying out cleaning tasks to a set standard
• Basic understanding of food safety practices and how to maintain standards of hygiene
• Good verbal and written communication skills, able to comprehend written instructions and risk assessments, and complete checklist documentation to a high standard.
• Able to work under your own initiative, as part of a small team
• A passion for chocolate!
Desirable skills and experiences:
• Experience carrying out cleaning responsibilities to BRC and GMP standards in a manufacturing environment
• Experience using larger scale cleaning equipment, e.g. powered floor cleaners
• Level 2 Food Safety Qualification or equivalent experience.
  
  Base Salary of £25,100 + Shift Allowance of £150 per month
• Salary Sacrifice Pension Scheme: 5% Employee pension contributions are matched by 5% Employer pension contribution.
• 20 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), rising to 22 days after 2 years' service, and 25 days after 5 years' service.
