ICOE Asset Engineering Group Lead - Product Manager in Birmingham (UK), United Kingdom Introduction: As the Asset Engineering Group Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our product portfolio through assets and/or asset groups management. You will drive value of products/assets through lifecycle management, value stream enablement, asset monetisation strategy shaping, GTM, and ROI through internal recovery. The role leverages market and ecosystem understanding and alignment to drive market capture through assets. Your focus will be on driving the asset value and ROI towards strategic business goals and addressing target client growth. The Integrated Center of Excellence (ICOE) is part of the Delivery pillar of the organization and responsible for five functional areas - Solution Evolution, Solutioning, Engineering & Automation (asset dev), Shared Services, SME (MVP and experts), and Employee Engagement and Skills Planning. The Asset Group Lead role is a global role that aligns to the Asset Engineering Tower where we are product manage and engineer assets that enable Avanade to bring differentiating catalysts to address market opportunities. What you'll do: You will have accountability and leadership of an Asset Group or a cross-Solution Asset, from product roadmap shaping, design, and release delivery through to working with the Sales & Client Solutions or Global Practice pillars to deploy GTM, commercial frameworks, and work across the ICOE to co-create and deliver against the Integrated Center of Excellence (ICOE) Asset Engineering Tower vision and mission. Asset Group Lead Ownership and Client Impact:

  • Able to translate market intelligence into value capture opportunities through asset engineering. Able to drive asset value growth through differentiation, repeatable value to drive ROI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and maintain the asset roadmap and then drive asset delivery, value return against asset investments.
  • Drive consistency, efficiency, compliance, and governance across assets within the asset group.
  • Garner insights from stakeholders to shape the asset product feature roadmap to achieve ICOE growth targets and portfolio priorities.
  • Experience leading offshore and nearshore teams to execute asset engineering delivering continual value through sprint releases.
  • Identify and drive cross-Solution Area value creation opportunities beyond individual assets. By joining multiple assets, the portfolio value and ROI increases.
  • Governs asset group day-to-day activities including sales and delivery support while ensuring strong engineering discipline and KPI management. Responsible for driving excellence in product development, release, and value realization within the Asset Engineering Tower.
  • Manages team to meet KPIs for the team and Asset.
  • Advance the Capability of Solutions & Asset Value:
  • Reconcile asset priorities by extracting insights across the Avanade seller and solutioning community and aligning the roadmap to market trends, feedback, and business pipeline.
  • Able to collaborate across a broad set of stakeholders and partners including internal Avanade teams, Microsoft teams, GTM teams to align and increase the value of the Asset Engineering tower efforts.
  • Make data-driven, informed decisions to optimize asset development.
  • Manages asset development including strategy, roadmap, release, product specifications and governance across the portfolios of assets under the management of the ICOE. Demonstrates product management leadership by example in product governance, discipline and decision making.
  • Ensures efficiency, productivity and compliance with industry standards and best practices by using automation throughout the asset dev & delivery process.
  • Maintains a strong awareness of Microsoft and priority ISVs roadmaps to optimize our backlog and avoid duplication; as well as leverage relationships with Accenture and align with their asset engineering programs.
  • Interlock with Delivery, ICOE Solution Evolution, and Global Practices to identify asset value to harvest into the ICOE for scaling and industrializing as part of the ICOE Asset Engineering Catalogue.
  • Collaborates with other Asset Leads to ensure cross-asset development tooling, engineering disciplines, quality, security, and efficiencies are at their best.
  • Manage asset team to support release, operations, and ongoing support of assets.
  • Skills and experiences: Technical Acumen:
  • Experienced in product management disciplines and engineering SDLC.
  • Able to formulate product roadmaps and translate this for product teams to execute.
  • Works across development teams to ensure right tools, disciplines, quality, security, and efficiencies are at their best, on asset design, prioritization, remediations, and optimization across all asset engineering teams
  • Collaboration Skills:
  • Build strong relationship building skills and able to work across functions.
  • Support asset usage throughout Avanade, enabling and exploiting the portfolio of ICOE engineered assets for the benefit of clients; this includes sales and delivery enablement.

  • Advance the Capability of Solutions & Technologies:
  • Owns Asset backlog items and delivery efficiency, productivity and compliance with industry standards and best practices throughout the value stream delivery of the asset engineering.
  • Directs engineering teams to utilize appropriate tools, standards, quality assurance, security and compliance, and efficiency practices, that optimize Avanade asset engineering velocity to deliver highly valued assets.
  • Key Performance Indicators: Product Management & Value Measures:
  • Asset cost management, recovery achievement, and usage growth.
  • Asset Lifecycle management and stakeholder management to optimise asset ROI.
  • Collaborate with asset stakeholders to construct ROI plan and target achievement.
  • Identifies opportunities to introduce value features into the asset to enable adoption and drive future business opportunities, leveraging Microsoft and Microsoft ecosystem technologies.
  • Additional KPIs:
  • Influence: guide asset roadmap towards growth opportunities that have material impact in securing new key opportunities; targets will be agreed with the Practices and LOBs.
  • Influence: ensure recovery of costs to achieve the agreed targets relative to asset consumption.
