Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist to join our small friendly team at The Yeatman Hospital, based in Sherborne.

You will work as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team acting as a source of clinical expertise on the management of the ICRT patients' conditions with multiple pathologies and complex needs.

The Occupational Therapist role is currently a full-time position. We would also welcome part time applicants with a minimum of 30 hours. We can be flexible around shift patterns to support a family friendly working pattern and would be happy to support compressed hours or part time hours spread over the weekdays., To provide specialist clinical advice, leadership and support ensuring the needs of the service aremet by exercising and demonstrating high levels of clinical judgement, critical analysis, andadvanced decision-making skills.

Responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality person-centred services with a focus on cluster based, integrated care which always considers peoples safety, privacy and dignity.

To provide clinical guidance and advice to other members of the Multi-disciplinary Team throughparticipation in screening of referrals, team meetings, joint treatments, teaching and case conferences.

To ensure delivery of up-to-date evidence-based practice.

To support the Team Leader to continually enhance service quality and contribute towards service development.

Job planning guidance for this role equates to 70%-80% direct patient care, including specialist clinical support to other members within the cluster teams and 20%-30% supporting professional activity.

You will be required to work with the rest of the team to support 7 day working on a rota basis.
