As a Voice Specialist, you will design, implement, and maintain the organisations voice infrastructure. You will provide the technical resources necessary to support business continuity for a 24/7 emergency policing service and its external partners & you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our ICT infrastructure and providing technical assistance to our staff.,

  • To maintain SWP's existing voice architecture

  • To design and implement SWP's voice architecture for the future

  • Optimise voice performance and ensure high availability.

  • Monitor the network voice usage, discuss network voice requirements with stakeholders and recommend and implement network voice upgrades and enhancements to voice architecture

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network voice issues, collaborating with other ICT teams and external vendors when necessary.

  • Conduct network voice assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend and implement necessary security measures.

  • Manage network voice documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to plan, implement and support network voice related projects., The ICT Network Specialist - Voice role works within the Technical Delivery section of the ICT Department and reports to the Infrastructure Manager.

    Must possess any of the following:

  • + A bachelor's degree in an ICT related subject
    + Demonstratable equivalent skills or experience in voice networking
  • Proven experience as an ICT Network Voice Specialist or in a similar role.

  • In depth knowledge of VOIP and PBX systems and other voice technologies.

  • Must have experience of designing, installing, and managing an on-premise and or cloud-hybrid network voice VOIP/PBX infrastructure

  • Experience of installation and management of contact centres

  • Must have experience of wired, wireless component hardware and soft telephony clients.

  • Must have experience of manage Datacentres and Remote sites telephony integration with the inclusion of SIP

  • Understanding of Network and Voice protocols

  • Knowledge and or experience of using Teams Voice

  • Strong network voice analysis / problem solving and 3rd line troubleshooting skills

  • Understanding of network voice security principles and best practices.

  • Hands on experience with network voice management tools and network voice troubleshooting utilities.

  • Line management experience of voice engineers
