Salary Range: £33,945 - £35,745 per annum

Work Location: Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service HQ, Eastleigh

Hours per week: 37

Contract Type: Permanent

This is a great opportunity to be supporting the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service's ICT Infrastructure.

Responsible for maintaining Information and Communications platforms used across The Service accountable for 62 sites, 52 mainland and 10 Isle of Wight locations. As part of the Fire Service's ICT Technical Team, you will be interfacing with our users and responsible for providing and supporting high availability blue light services.

Day-to-day you will work alongside both Island and Service Headquarters staff supporting users across the Service. You will carry our routine maintenance activities, respond to ICT incidents and tickets and support ICT delivery projects both locally and using remote tools. You will update and maintain documentation and the ICT Service Management System, interface direct with staff at all levels and liaise with ICT suppliers and partners where necessary.

You will have experience in a similar role with experience of supporting ICT infrastructure and have a technical background supported by formal training, certification, and qualifications. You will require Windows, desktop, LAN & WAN skills and ideally communications experience with radio and / or voice services. Ideally you will have experience working within a large and diverse organisation that provides high quality and high availability ICT applications and services working to ITIL best practice and standards such as cyber essentials. You will be able to engage effectively with business users and suppliers, you will be a confident, proactive individual able to work with limited supervision. Mainland based occasional travel will be required therefore you will be required to drive a company vehicle and must hold a current full drivers' licence.
