Full Job Description

Our client is looking for experienced, diligent, and thorough Test Analysts to deliver rigorous testing of a critical new IDAM solution. As the Test Analyst you will be responsible for the testing of user-facing journeys and APIs to integrate with systems across the business.

You will work with key stakeholders in the project and business to understand the requirements and support the creation of test scenarios and will be responsible for writing test scripts, executing tests, including prioritising raising defects with appropriate information to allow decision-making engaging stakeholders to support the defect management process.

Responsibilities:

Script and execute test cases based on requirements for defined scope
Prepare reports on outcome of tests run, and communicate these clearly to stakeholders
Collaborate with the Test Team to deliver the test plan, ensuring all changes are communicated through project governance.
Support identified defects through agreed defect management process, working with Test Manager.
Conduct thorough test analysis.
Review various inputs for testing, including documented and undocumented requirements, designs, and technical solution designs.
Collaborate with team members, such as Business Analysts, Architects, and QAs etc.
Interpret testing inputs and derive test cases accordingly.
Develop test scenarios from requirements and designs, translating them into actionable test cases.
Document and manage test cases and processes using JIRA.
Identify and gather necessary test data.
Execute test cases and validate results.
Contribute to the overall testing process, providing estimates on time, effort, and resources needed for creating and running tests.
Log and track defects, ensuring timely resolution.
Re-execute tests as needed to verify defect fixes.
Work with undefined or evolving requirements, using a proactive, self-starter approach.
Work proactively with evolving requirements and ask critical, exploratory questions (e.g., "What if?", "How?", "Can you give an example?")

Proven experience with Identity and Access Management (IDAM/IAM) solutions and deliveries.
Strong background in authentication and authorisation testing, integration testing, and IDAM system testing, or equivalent test experience.
High attention to detail and strong communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex testing scenarios and integrations.
Self-starter with the ability to hit the ground running, as you will be joining the team at the start of end-to-end testing, with an established framework in place
Expertise in defining test scenarios and test cases.
Experience of API Testing (POSTMAN is preferred)
Familiarity with functional and non-functional testing (desired).
Experience with solution testing and the ability to manage test cases using JIRA
