Full Job Description

Are you currently working in an outsourcing or audit role and are looking for your next challenge? Do you love solving problems and the technical challenges that come with working with sophisticated, complex businesses? We have an exciting new role within our growing Business Services & Outsourcing team that could be your perfect fit. As a senior member of the BS&O team, we are looking for someone who is technically-savvy and well-versed in both FRS 102 and IFRS. The role will involve:

  • Leading the accounts and financial reporting service line on a portfolio of audited clients, whilst being closely supported by Assistant Managers and Managers. Delivering a slick and efficient process from start to finish, building good working relationships with both clients and internal teams, as well as working capital management
  • Completing technical reviews of FRS 102, FRS 101 and consolidated IFRS statutory accounts
  • Supporting the wider BS&O team with technical queries, researching complex areas and finding solutions, as well as playing a key role in the coaching and development of the team
  • Overseeing Mid-Market added-value technical projects, such as FRS 102 to IFRS conversion
  • Playing a key role in our go-to-market strategy for Mid-Market businesses, growing our offering and client base in the accounts and financial reporting space
  • This role is open to applicants across the country, though the nature of the position will require regular presence at one of our existing office locations. By joining us you will be working with a team and company that inspires you and be given an active opportunity to shape the future of our company and encouraged to be innovative.

You will need to be ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualified. But above all, you will need to be passionate about client experience, constantly looking for ways to add more value to our clients. Ideally, you will have:
  • Excellent project management, client relationship management and time management skills, to manage a portfolio of clients to precise deadlines
  • Have experience working as an Audit Assistant Manager, or an equivalent Outsourcing position, with exposure to delivering statutory accounts preparation of complex consolidated accounts
  • Well-versed in FRS 102 and IFRS reporting frameworks, including technical areas such as accounting for long term contracts, share-based payments, group reconstructions etc.
  • Ability to build strong client relationships and deliver an outstanding client experience
  • Umpf! A genuine passion and drive for "getting stuff done", someone with excellent project management and communications skills
  • Have a "play all in" team spirit to support the wider department, with an ability to take a collaborative approach with clients and with the rest of the BS&O team
  • Have a hunger for continuous improvement and a curiosity for finding the best way of doing things!
