Full Job Description

We are recruiting for a PROCOL UK Manager, who will play a pivotal role with key responsibilities for partnership development, fundraising, and managing the portfolio of UK projects at the Institute for Global Prosperity so that they are developed, planned, organised and delivered successfully meeting specifications agreed with project funders. The PROCOL UK Manager will work closely with all team members of the PROCOL UK team - including IGP's Head of Data and Citizen Science Academy Lead - to ensure synergy exists between the different aspects of the UK projects and more widely across other projects delivered by the Institute.

In our single biggest development since we were founded, UCL is expanding to east London. Located on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, UCL East is dedicated to disruptive thinking and discovery across disciplines and beyond academic walls, to find solutions to the biggest challenges for future living. We are located in Newham, East London - one of the most socially diverse parts of the UK - and we want our staff recruitment to reflect this. With its first two buildings opened in 2022 and 2023, UCL East is a place for creating solutions that change the world. By breaking down barriers and creating new practices in sustainable spaces and best-in-class facilities, we are giving our staff and students the tools to take their learning and discoveries further. More than just a conventional campus, UCL East represents a future focused mindset. We deliver new research, technology and innovation, and more than 50 undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes for up to 4,000 students. The UCL Institute for Global Prosperity (IGP) is a multidisciplinary Institute committed to innovative research and teaching focused on how to build, enhance and ensure the sustainable prosperity of human societies across the globe. The IGP has established three Prosperity Co-Labs (PROCOLs) in the UK, Lebanon and Africa, with each one conducting several major research projects. The research that takes place in these sites provides excellent opportunities for comparative, transdisciplinary research aligned to local needs and stakeholders. PROCOL Lebanon works on delivering inclusive and prosperous futures for communities impacted by mass displacement, PROCOL Africa focuses on natural and social prosperity in Africa, and PROCOL UK develops transformational thinking and action on shared prosperity for the UK.
