Are you an imaginative and resourceful Art Teacher who loves inspiring creativity in students with special educational needs? A fantastic SEN school in Islington is seeking an Art Teacher to join their passionate team and nurture the creative talents of their students. Role Overview: As an Art Teacher, you will deliver a bespoke art curriculum that encourages self-expression and confidence. You will use art as a medium to help students develop fine motor skills, emotional regulation, and a sense of achievement.,

  • Plan and deliver creative and engaging art lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with autism and other SEND.
  • Use a variety of mediums and techniques to encourage self-expression and skill development.
  • Work collaboratively with the SENCO, therapists, and support staff to provide holistic support to students.
  • Celebrate student achievements through exhibitions and displays of their work.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt lesson plans to ensure they meet individual targets.

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in art or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching students with SEND, particularly autism or complex needs.
  • A creative and empathetic approach to teaching that values student individuality.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A passion for using art to inspire confidence and resilience in students.
