Full Job Description

Imaging Assistants are an integral part of the Radiology Team providing a high standard of patient centered care to deliver and maintain a good patient experience., The post will be a support role to patients undergoing tests and procedures, assisting consultants and radiographers performing radiology examinations. The Radiology facility at New Cross Hospital is a purpose-built unit completed in 2003, with excellent facilities for patients and staff. There will be a brand new community diagnostic centre (CDC) with Radiology facilities at Cannock Chase Hospital opening in Jan 2024. This post will be based at Cannock with the requirement for occasional cross-site working. Applicants must be prepared to work flexibly on a rolling 4-week rota to include early morning, evening and weekend shifts. Participation in the Bank/Statutory Holiday Rota is a requirement of this post.Main duties of the job To ensure safe and effective clinical practice To enhance the patient's experience To manage and develop the performance of the team To ensure effective contribution to the delivery of the organisation's objectives

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in four subjects, including English Language and Mathematics
  • Experience in a caring/clerical post
