Full Job Description

Five Education are looking to recruit an In-Class Support Assistant in Frome. As a Support Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work closely with identified children and young people, encouraging them to learn and challenge themselves. The children have a diagnosis of Special Education Needs (SEN) such as Autism or ADHD and/ or mental health challenges. They will need extra help at school in the lessons and at break and lunchtimes., Supporting 1:1 in class or in small groups
Help pupils to remain focussed
Build a strong relationship with the pupils and teaching staff to ensure that the pupils are achieving their potential

Experience is not necessary, but a can-do attitude, resilience and initiative are essential. You will need to be available 8:30-15:30. This work is term time only, the school prefers people who can offer 5 days a week but they will consider people who can work a minimum of two days a week., Be empathetic, kind and patient
Have a right to work in the UK (A Valid Visa)
Two recent references, covering the last 2 years
Relevant DBS/Police checks, or willing to obtain

The pay rate is £12.81 an hour. The day is 7 hours with an unpaid 30 min lunch break. Your daily rate of pay would be £83.29 but with a potential to earn more based on level of experience. Including holiday pay
Pay: Five Education operates a PAYE payroll; this is the most transparent way to be paid with no hidden fees such as admin fee or employers NI. We are also proud to be an accredited Living Wage employer. Please note pay rate is for illustration and does include holiday pay.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo checks including reference checks, TRA checks and will need to have a DBS; there will also be a face-to-face interview.
