Full Job Description

The Specialist Speech and Language Teachers and TAs within the ECLIPS Team collaborate with the Speech and Language Therapy Team to offer support, advice and specialist teaching to children and young people with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) and other severe speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). The Inclusion Project Caseworkers work under the direction of the ECLIPS Team Leader in supporting children and young people between 7 and 16 years of age, at risk of exclusion in developing their language skills.

We have a fixed term role available, for 24 months working full time, term time. There is the possibility this fixed term position will be extended or made permanent in the future.

Secondments will be considered for internal applicants - if employees wish to apply for a secondment they require their managers approval.

You will need to have significant experience of working with children and young people with SLCN/at risk of exclusion.

Applicants will also require a good level of knowledge and understanding of Exclusion legislation and LA statutory duties. You will also need the ability to interpret, advise and guide school staff, including school senior leaders, ensuring LCC and all stakeholders are compliant with their statutory duties and understand their responsibilities., In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post., Disability Confident
