Full Job Description

We're on the hunt for a special someone to hit the ground running in support of our Independent Living Schemes. Are you hunting for a new challenge with an ambitious organisation and ready to join us on our mission to deliver 'Great Places', Great Services', and 'Great Tomorrows'.

You'll responsible for visiting and supporting our most vulnerable customers residing in our independent living homes., to meet the needs of those customers as necessary and provide regular support/reassurance visits to those customers who request them.

This role will be predominantly based in our North region with some travel to the South region as required so you'll need your full UK licence and use of a car for work purposes.

You'll be looking for real variety in your role; interacting with our customers, external agencies and partners, your team and the wider business, as well as signposting customers to appropriate support services.

You'll also be looking for a challenge which will put your knowledge of supported housing and independent living to excellent use along with your ability to identify the needs and preferences of the customer and adapt the service accordingly.

A few key points from our role profile:

  • Provide a floating support service to customers living in our independent living schemes.

  • Assess and provide regular support visits as necessary to meet the demands of individual customers.

  • Support the Independent Living Officers with viewings and sign ups of new prospective customers as requested.

  • Carry out regular scheme visits and inspections of community centres, including any health and safety checks as required.

  • Signpost customers to FHG tenancy support team for money advice and/or other third-party agency support where appropriate.

  • Support the work of the Independent Living Officers, by consulting with customers regarding any proposed works on schemes, ensure customers views are taken into consideration and encourage customers to engage with all activities which may affect their home.
